Born in 1957 in Oslo, Steinar is currently working as Director of the Human Resources department in a public directorate, but his general interest in promoting his home country lead him into tourist guiding in his spare time. His intention is to fill the whole summer with this interesting and social activity. His previous experience as a bus and limousine driver inspired him to combine his professional driving skills with professional guiding.
Steinar is the perfect host – you will appreciate his extensive knowledge of history, geography, economy and culture, as well as his knack for storytelling!
Steinar Bakken has a Master’s Degree from the University of Oslo in Political Science, History and Religion. He is an experienced authorized guide with a driver’s license for limousines and full-size buses.
